The New KSRTC Seater cum Sleeper AC bus

The Kerala State Road Transportation Corporation (KSRTC) has inducted a number of new and modern buses as part of a long, long overdue modernisation plan. This is the new KSRTC Seater cum Sleeper AC bus on display at Trivandrum. The bus is built by Prakash Automotive on their Cappella platform on an Ashok Leyland Viking BS6 chassis. This is one of the two new KSRTC Seater cum Sleeper buses inducted. There are also fully sleeper and fully seater versions of the same bus. The buses will be part of the KSRTC luxury buses fleet.

The livery of the new KSRTC buses has proven to be very controversial, but it looks like this new and unique tricolour livery gives the bus massive road presence. There’s also a picture of a Kadhakali model on the back of the buses. The bonnet number has not been allocated to the bus yet but it looks like it will go to KSRTC-SWIFT and not KSRTC itself.
