The WAP7 Hurries Past Kasturi Nagar with the Sanghamitra Express

Southern Railway’s Royapuram shed’s WAP7 #30363 leading the 12295 Sanghamitra Superfast Express from Bangalore to Patna hurries past Kasturi Nagar  in Bangalore (between Baiyyappanahalli and Krishnarajapuram) on a bright sunny morning. This is the spot where the Yeshwantpur – Hosur railway line passes over the Bangalore – Chennai rail line and later over Old Madras Road. The WAP7 was at quite a pace though tis road number seriously needs repainting. Here is another picture of the same locomotive with the Bangalore – Chennai AC Double Decker. The WAP7 has recently become Sanga’s regular loco link, earlier it was being hauled by a RPM WAP4.
