The Island Express with WAP7 #30333 at Changanasserry

A behemoth in full form, dwarfing the running man alongside it, Royapuram’s WAP7 #30333 heads the legendary 16525 Kanyakumari-Bangalore Island express as it waits in loop at Changanasserry railway station in south Kerala on an overcast day. Busy people walking around, the long, long train and the small building with pruned trees and shrubbery – the scene and setting of a quintessential Indian Railway station. But this scene no longer exists as the station has been renovated and the Island Express now runs on LHB coaches.
