The 16316 Kochuveli Express with a Blue ICF Rake

The 16316 Kochuveli – Bangalore express headed by RPM WAP4 #22691 waits at its scheduled stop at Kayamkulam Jn in Kerala in this “old” photo taken way back in early 2017. The train was back then still being hauled by WAP4 locomotive and consisted of a 22-coach notoriously old and dilapidated ICF rake. Of course, the ICF coaches with their once-ubiquitous blue livery is all but history today, and hence this “old” photo evokes some level of nostalgia. The train now runs with a WAP7 locomotive and a full LHB rake. It has also been extended and now runs till Mysore.
