The Classic KSRTC Superfast from Thottilpalam
Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) classic Superfast bus RPK 308 from Thottilpalam in Kozhikode district to Kottayam seen climbing the steep curve at Meenkunnam near Muvattupuzha on MC Road. The bus belonging to Thottilpalam deport departs from Thottilpalam at 0635 in the morning and from Kottayam at 1835 in the evening. Thottilpalam is a picturesque town at the foot of the Wayanad hills with plenty of trekking spots.
The box-like design with clean lines and double headlights with the red and yellow superfast speed livery is classic KSRTC. The bus was built at the erstwhile regional body shop of KSRTC at Kozhikode on an Ashok Leyland Viking chassis. Some years from now this picture will be searched for as the “old” KSRTC superfast design.
