Murudeshwara, in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka is primarily known as a pilgrimage center for devotees of Lord Shiva, with its famous Shiva temple and the World’s second tallest statue of Lrd Shive. But it is also a very scenic and mostly unknown tourist spot with a pristine beach and stunning, breath-taking scenery as part of the Konkan coast of which the Karnataka coastline is part of. Murudeshwara is part of that circuit, along with Maravanthe and Gokarna, where nature will greet you in all her unspoilt glory. The Western Ghats rise in the background.
