Old KSRTC Red Ordinary Bus RNC 392
An old KSRTC red Ordinary bus with bonnet number RNC 392 built on a Tata 1612c chassis slowly rambles up an incline at Karickom near Kottarakara on the MC Road. These old-time ordinary buses in red liveries are getting to be a rarity these days since most ordinary buses these days sport the white Malabar/Thiru Kochi/Venad liveries. The bus is as badly maintained as are any KSRTC buses these days including premium buses. It even seems to be leaning towards one side. RNC 392 was running a long ordinary “Limited Stop” service from Kottarakara to Trivandrum that day.
This picture shows the state of transportation in Kerala – old, ramshackle public transport vehicles being left in the dust by newer spunky private cars.
