New KSRTC Volvo 9600 SLX Seater Bus KS451

The brand new Kerala KSRTC Volvo 9600 SLX Multi-Axle Seater bus with KSRTC’s identification number KS451 (also known as bonnet number) goes on its way from Trivandrum to Bangalore via Kottayam and Salem seen on the road near Nalanchira in Trivandrum on a sunny January afternoon. The new bus is part of a recent fleet upgrade by KSRTC which procured eight units of Volvo’s most advanced model in sale in India. The new KSRTC Volvo like the rest of the new “Premium” fleet sports the new “tricolour” livery (which I am not a big fan of). The bus is operated by KSRTC’s “SWIFT” unit and is deployed on the Trivandrum – Bangalore, Ernakulam – Bangalore and Trivandrum – Kollur (Mookambika) routes. This is also the first time I managed to capture one of the new buses which I could finally get after quite a bit of trying, but still not perfect because the light wasn’t ideal, but thankfully the road was empty.
