A Sunset Over the Hills at Mamalakandam

The sun sets over the Western Ghats one fine December evening at Mamalakandam. This sunset photo was taken from a mountain top during an off-road jeep safari. You can see the jeep too on the left. Mamalakandam in a popular tourist spot in the Western Ghats of Kerala at the edges of the Ernakulam district that borders Idukki. It lies at a mean elevation of 500 meters above sea level and borders reserve forests on all sides. It is a really out-of-the-way place that does not lie on the route to anywhere and therefore you can experience a secluded experience.
