KSRTC Fast Passenger bus ATE 290 Kottayam-Thodupuzha

The very handsome Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) Fast Passenger bus ATE 290 of the Nedumkandam (Idukki district) depot running the massively patronised Kottayam – Pala – Thodupuzha route spotted at Thellakom between Kottayam and Ettumanoor. A specialty of this Leyland Viking bus with body built by the Corporation’s Edappal body building unit is that it features a double headlight which is a rarity among Fast Passenger buses. It also has no ugly ads pasted to its side which gives an unblemished view of the famous red and yellow livery.
