The New KSRTC Fast Passenger Bus
The new KSRTC Fast Passenger bus featuring its new livery and design on display at Kanakakunnu, Trivandrum on the day after its launch. The Fast Passenger (service) buses are intended for short to medium long distance services (generally 50 to 150 km) with stops every three to five kilometers or so. This new version is built on a Tata chassis by ACGL. The bus is 10.5 meters long and has a 3.3 liter diesel engine. The design, livery and stance of the new KSRTC fast passenger bus is completely different from the existing ones. This doesn’t even qualify for the “aanavandi” moniker that KSRTC buses are famous for. It looks quite tame and subdued, more like a company transport bus. Let’s see how the public takes to it.
