A Small Private Bus “Thampuratti” on MC Road

“Thampuratti” (princess) is the name of this cute small private local bus that runs on a long winding route from Kundara Mukkada to Enathu in Kollam district. The route winds through several rural communities off the MC Road in Kollam district like Cheerankavu, Poovathur, Pavithreshwaram, Puthoormukku, Poovattoor, Mavadi etc. The Main Central Road (MC Road) allows private buses on only short stretches which makes them a rarity on this road. It is a “nationalised” route with long distance services reserved for only KSRTC buses. The body style of the bus seems to be local and quite dated though maintained well.
