KSRTC Airavata Volvo After a Minor Accident

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC)’s Volvo B7R bus after a minor accident which involved a collision with a truck in the broken, terribly curvy and dangerous Shiradi Ghat road (Highway) on the way from Mangalore to Bangalore. An overloaded platform truck carrying huge logs was being driven rashly on the wrong side of the road and one of the logs hanging from the side of the truck smashed the side windows leaving a gaping hole. Thanks to the nimble handling and power of the Volvo, the alert driver was able to maneuver the bus out of a full-frontal collision path. Fortunately there were no injuries as there was no one sitting in that seat. I was a passenger in this bus. This happened in 2008.
(PS: Another same type of accident on the same road. Those people were not so lucky 🙁 )
