The Cute Little Busscar on Sharjah’s Mowasalat Route 8
Mowasalat (Sharjah) is the public transport undertaking run by the department of transportation of the Government of Sharjah, one of the emirates of the United Arab Emirates. Seen here is one of their buses made by the now-defunct Brazilian company “Busscar“, branded “Urbanuss Pluss”. Busscar was a dominant force in the Brazilian economy, building all kinds of buses from 1946 until it went bankrupt in 2012. These little machines are extremely cute with their big, convex, curving full-face windshields, a predominant Busscar feature. This bus runs the Sharjah Route 8 from the Rolla Bus Terminal in the heart of old Sharjah to the Sahara Center Mall at Sharjah Al Nahda on the border with the emirate of Dubai, seen on the Al Wahda Street (Emirates Road E11) connecting Sharjah with Dubai
