The Very Blue Muvattupuzha River

The very blue and very calm Muvattupuzha River serenely turns a bend just after the Piravom Road Railway Station on her way towards her destination north of Vaikom, near Poothotta, where she drains into the Vembanad Lake. The river also gives the name to the town and taluk of Muvattupuzha, Kerala, on the foot of the Western Ghats. When you translate “Muvattupuzha Aaru” into Malayalam, it literally turns out to be “Three River River River”.
