Twin ALCO diesel locomotives hauling the Garib Rath express train in Kerala India

The Turqouise Twins at Kochuveli with the Yeshwantpur Garib Rath

Twin ALCO WDM3As, (#18704 and #16296) in the classic blue-turquoise-blue livery of the Krishnarajapuram KJM diesel loco shed wait at Trivandrum Kochuveli railway terminus with the 12258 Kochuveli – Bangalore Yeshwantpur Garib Rath express. This train was until recently hauled by a single KJM ALCO locomotive, but now gets two of them, a great and stunning upgrade! Twin ALCOs are always a sight to behold, and it is an honor for the GR to get them! You are looking at 6200 horsepower, which is frankly needed to haul the rake of 16 heavy 81-seater AC coaches.
