A road direction sign board on a local road in Kottayam district, Kerala. Yes, what you see is actually the name of a village junction, and not some international signboard. In a state with huge communist leanings it is no accident that there are many places named ‘Moscow’ there! The only anomaly is that instead of left, you have to turn right to get to this Moscow! 🙂 Taken through a car windshield which explains the glossiness of the picture.
A private bus named “Olympics” plying on the NH 744 near Kollam, Kerala. The bus is a city-suburban bus service, plying from Chavara to Perumpuzh via Neendakara, Chinnakkada (Kollam), Kareekode, Chandanathoppu and Keralapuram. The bus like all other private city services in Kerala is a body built on a truck chassis. But these private buses form a majority of public transportation in the state. This bus also has a history behind it as the route once belonged to an Olympian.
LOL. Cab drivers, especially those in Bangalore are an enlightened lot these these days. For example, this Tata Indica cab has on its rear, the very important advice: “Recession Time! Avoid Girlfriends it saves 90% fuel!” There should be more people like this guy to save the World’s Energy crisis. But good that he learned his lesson! It does save fuel! 😀
