A Red 2016 Ford Mustang for Sale at Dubai’s Al Aweer Market

A Red Ford Mustang Fastback lies in wait for its new owner at Dubai’s famous Al-Aweer used car market. One of the world’s most renowned and powerful cars, the Ford Mustang is an icon of motoring. To increase the screen presence of the car, its surroundings have been grayed out in this photograph. The Al-Aweer car used car market in Dubai is a phenomenal place, a car lover’s wet dream, where you can buy anything from a Toyota Yaris to a Lamborghini Huracan on the spot.

A Yellow Lamborghini Huracán!

A bright yellow Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 Coupe menacingly rests outside at the main entrance of The Dubai Mall in Dubai. The 610 hp, 550 Nm Huracán with a 5.2 liter V10 is the Italian ultra supercar maker’s latest among its serial production cars and like all Lamborghini machines is named after a famous fighting bull. The Huracan replaced the Lamborghini Gallardo and is the current “baby Lambo” alongside its more powerful sibling, the Lamborghini Aventador, though outdoes it in its aggressive styling. Though these supercars might be a rarity to spot anywhere else in the world, they quite common in the oil-rich Gulf countries and especially in Dubai. This little baby will cost you a little more than 4 crore Indian Rupees a pop.

Presenting The Nissan GT-R, The King of Acceleration!

An unexpected surprise at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, the king of going fast, the Nissan GT-R! The GT-R is one of the quickest cars on the planet, being capable of going from 0 to 100 kph in just under 2 seconds! It is also those the type of car that is along with the Mitsubishi Evo/Lancer series, what came to be known as the staple of the racing scene, as the definitive sports car that will be at home equally on the track and on the street, epitomizing everyting that is right about Japanese supercars. Also a personal favorite! The GT-R comes with a hand-made 3.8 Liter Twin Turbo V6 capable of 545 PS at 6400 RPM and 463 Nm from 3200-5800 RPM band! The Nissan GT-R is expected to be launched in India in September 2016 and will sport a price tag of 2 Crore. The car in the picture seems to be itching to race away!

The Iconic, Indomitable Ford Mustang GT Fastback in India!

The king of Pony cars, the mighty, indomitable Ford Mustang GT Fastback 5.0 V8 stands on display at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo (though held at NOIDA in the neighboring state of UP). This monster of a car produces 401 PS of power and 515 NM of torque from its 5 liter V8 engine. The Mustang with its wide stance and muscular design (oh that bulging hood!) always exuded raw power and was my dream car from my very childhood. Unlike Italian and German supercars, this American icon named after a legendary horsebreed (or alternatively, after a fighter plane), represents throaty, raw power more associated with open, dusty and rough backwater highways of America rather than the polished European track. And it is finally here in India! The Ford Mustang selling price in India is said to be Rs.55 lakhs ex-showroom, a steal at that price! If you have the money.

A Hot Pink Volkswagen Beetle in Bangalore!

Prize catch! A Volkswagen New Beetle car in standard Hot Pink color spotted at Canara Bank signal, Koramangala 100 ft road, Bangalore! This is something I had kept an eye out for a long time! Volkswagen New Beetles were available in India till 2013 for a sweet 22 lakhs a piece when they were discontinued for want of sales (obviously), managing to sell only around 500 numbers, making the New Beetle an absolute rarity on Indian roads. The iconic Beetles are absolute eye candy to look at given its famous curvy design and palatable colors. Not sure if the New Beetle was offered in Pink or if this is a custom paint job. Yes, the Pink Beetle is the Property of a Lady, of course 🙂 Also, here is a Pink Chevrolet Beat.

A Brand New 2013 BMW 320d in Bangalore

A gleaming new black 2013 BMW 320d sitting in a Bangalore parking lot. The best looking BMW 3-Series ever, the car is compact with taught skin that reveals its true pedigree. BMW is far ahead of the other two (Audi and Mercedes) in the race among the German marques in India. The design of the 320d (and the 328i) says a lot why it is so. Will I ever own one? I guess not.
