Interior layout of the Orion Mall, part of the Brigade Gateway complex at Rajajinagar in West Bangalore. Orion is one of the lesser-visited malls of Bangalore by the “IT crowd” as it is not situated anywhere near the IT corridors and an outing to which is a one-day work. It mainly caters to the “natives” of the city and is also connected by the Metro (Green Line). It is part of the posh Brigade Gateway complex which also includes the World Trade Center tower and a ultra-luxurious apartment complex, centered around an expansive boulevard. Very posh place for posh people.
The Bangalore Central Mall on Commissariat Road at the junction with Residency Road, off MG Road, Bangalore. It hides behind a huge Albizia Saman evergreen tree which casts a shadow over the entire area. The tree is also known as “Rain Tree” in Bangalore, one of the most widely seen trees in the city and also responsible for its cool climate. Kudos to the builders to let the tree stand! It stands opposite Mayo Hall at at the Mayo Hall circle. The Mall stands on the location where the historic Victoria Hotel (established in 1845) once stood. Its erstwhile clientele included Sir Winston Churchill.
Inside the Forum Mall, Koramangala, Bangalore. Looking down at the floor level from the first level. The Forum Mall is still Bangalore’s most favorite mall, as there is something endearing about it and the fact that this was Bangalore’s first modern Mall, giving many people many fond memories about it. The location also helps.
The Ascendas Park Square Mall next to ITPL, Whitefield, Bangalore. One of the newer malls of Bangalore, strategically locted right next to the ITPL entrance, so that techies can come in and splurge easily. The Mall also features a 4-screen Multiplex operated by Q-Cinemas. The scene here shows the Mall decked out for Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations. Quite some development for this place, considering the place was almost jungle just 10 years back.
