A rocky outcropping bedecked with green shrubs and some trees rises tall against the bright blue morning sky on the Jolarpettai – Bangalore railway line towards Bangalore. This deserted place is between the Patchur and Mulanur stations after the line splits into two around the hills, close to the Tamil Nadu – Andhra Pradesh border in Vellore district of TN. This is nature unspoilt by humans and the air is clean, fresh and wonderful, despite being located on one of the busiest railway lines in India. This hill is part of a geographical feature of the area where there exists lots of small rocky hills like these. These rocks must be quite ancient and the result of a Lava flow in the ancient past.
